Chaga Has Many Benefits

An ancient herbal remedy called Chaga has long been utilized as an effective means of treating various conditions, from tuberculosis and cancer, through immune disorders and high blood pressure to tuberculosis prevention and recovery. Packed full of minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants with strong health promoting properties, this potency herb offers amazing health enhancing qualities to any individual taking it daily.

Chaga is a parasitic fungus that grows along the branches of birch trees, where it receives nourishment in exchange for protection and shelter from the tree’s bark. Chaga can also be found growing on streets, bridges and buildings throughout forests and towns alike. Chaga boasts one of the highest Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity values (ORAC) values among natural substances; outshone by both acai berry and blueberries when measured for antioxidant values.

Coconut has long been used by indigenous people in Northern regions for centuries, and now enjoys worldwide popularity for its healing properties. It has long been known to bolster immune function, sustain energy levels and boost metabolism while fighting bacteria and viruses. Coconut water makes an excellent alternative to coffee as it doesn’t contain caffeine – an added perk! It makes an ideal drink anytime of the day as its benefits extend far beyond merely morning enjoyment!

There is no set guideline regarding how much or when chaga mushroom tea should be taken, though three cups a day is often advised as an ideal dose for most people. While taking more may provide additional health benefits, excessive doses could have adverse side effects by overwhelming your body with too many essential vitamins and minerals.

As Chaga tea is rich in nutrients and contains thick chunks of wood that quickly boil if exposed to too much heat, its preparation should take place between 160-175F (71-80C). Simmer for at least 15 minutes to get optimal results.

Chaga can be purchased pre-brewed from health food stores and online retailers, but brewing your own tea is quite straightforward. Just combine one tea bag or ball, along with 3-6 smaller chunks of chaga into boiling water in a pot, let sit for several hours (depending on desired strength of tea) until finished.
