How to Make Reishi Coffee
Reishi coffee can be created by mixing mushroom powder blends with hot water and enjoying as a regular cup of black or green coffee. While many mushroom coffee brands use ground mycelium (mushroom roots grown on grain) as their basis, others offer blends made with fruiting bodies of mushrooms (which contain more active constituents) for an all-natural and flavorful experience.
Most mushroom coffee blends feature lion’s mane, chaga, cordyceps, and reishi as health-promoting adaptogenic mushrooms. These mushrooms provide energy, boost memory and cognition, support immune system function and even promote healthy joints and skin radiance.
Reishi mushroom has long been recognized for its ability to reduce stress and anxiety, in large part due to the fact that it contains high concentrations of beta-glucans which have been proven to balance stress hormones and promote an overall calm state of mind.
Ryze coffee is a mushroom coffee made by blending six functional mushrooms – lion’s mane, cordyceps, reishi, shiitake, turkey tail and king trumpet – with 100% arabica coffee to produce an exquisite, smooth, mild and creamy drink that tastes similar to your typical black or green coffee, but with less acidity and umami from the mushrooms.
