Organic Cold Pressed Juice & Coffee
Juice consumption has seen an incredible surge over the past several years and bottles of cold pressed juice can now be found everywhere from coffee shops to grocery stores. While fruits and vegetables should ideally be consumed in their natural state (like through salad), juice can still provide an effective and nutritional way of getting their nutrients.
Cold pressed juice extraction methods reduce mechanical stress and heat in order to preserve flavors, nutrients, and aromas from fruit with loose skins such as oranges. Hot-pressed juices vary by using heating elements like boiling or steaming to loosen their skin so the juice can be extracted more easily from these fruits.
Juicing without heat helps retain more vitamins, minerals and antioxidants in your juice drink, but due to no preservatives being added. You can overcome this short shelf life issue by keeping any leftover pulp in the fridge so you can use it later for things such as vegan pesto, juice popsicles or pulp crackers! Be sure to remember the 80-20 rule for optimal juicing results!
