How Is Sprouts Organic Coffee Decaffeinated?
Many brands use chemicals like methylene chloride (a paint stripper ingredient) in their decaf coffee without disclosing this information on the label. Clean Label Project tested popular brands’ decaf and discovered many contain methylene chloride when safer water-based alternatives existed. For best results, look for solvent-free decaf that has Swiss Water or certified organic labelling to avoid toxic chemicals like methylene chloride; contact brand directly if they offer chemical free decaffeination processes.
